The Harry Potter series not only accomplishes these enormous challenges in a beautiful way, it serves as a powerful key into the the domains of magic, STEM-science, the arts and humanities, Quidditch-movement, and so much more.

Why Do We Care: Reading the World renown Harry Potter series or watching the movies not only “suspends disbelief,” it invigorates a reader’s imagination, and the processes of inquisitiveness, learning, and critical thinking. The series also nutures the magical constructs of empathy through exploration of nature and in a manner that fosters our abilities to achieve a better understanding and acceptance of humans and natural creatures far different than ourselves and what we/our biases perceive to be less than perfect. Effectively, the series opens the human mind and spirit to a higher level of consciousness and engagement both intellectually and kinesthetically.

Hence, the magic of a well crafted book series engages all human senses in a transformative manner which has positive life long impact through the generations. NASA award winning DIGIVATIONS CAMP DEMIGOD INSTITUTE’s Innovation & Literary Camp DEMIGOD has since 2013 embraced all of these ideals nuturing a safe, intellectually stimulating environment, where youth are empowered to change the world as they explore and learn about their own internal magical qualities and share them with like minded campers/students. This process invites and fosters collaboration among like minded peers on novel projects including prototype inventions, short stories, plays, music, theatrical performances, quest and adventure design, old and new versions of sport including Quidditch (Quadball), and so much more. As a result, these DIGIVATORS succeed in their life pursuits ranging from a more powerful embrace of offerings of their existing community and school (STEM, Drama, Music, Sports), EQ-Social Activity and friendship, as well as college and early career development ranging from entrepreneurship to healthcare, among others. Most significantly, campers/students establish life long friendships.

XGENS embrace of these same ideals in the rarified environment of a beautiful, artistically and intellectually stimulating community with access to leading scholars and industry leaders is an ideal next step for personal growth and development. imagine: quidditch, magic, spells, potions, dark arts, adventures through clues, theatrical combat all blended in with DIGIVATIONS' NASA award winning STEM+ARTS+MOVEMENT curriculum taught to more than 5,000 students throughout North America,
Campers will learn the chemistry behind potions;the physics of quidditch including Newton’s 3 Laws and Einstein’s Theories which will help them prevail; deciphering techniques and learning different languages to read the clues; traveling through multiverses/alternative universes and space time (think “Dr. Who”);the quantum theories of superposition and quantum tunneling allowing them to traverse walls at PLATFORM 9 3/4; wand making; and the language behind spells, and so much more.
Of course, Hogwarts does feature rather unique creatures whose DNA could use a little tweaking requiring a review of genetics and the magical tools of the CRISPR realm. Remember Wizards Chess will be lurking about. Who will be the winner?

XGENS PROGRAMS ARE HIGHLY SELECTIVE. WE ARE CONSIDERING STUDENTS BASED ON THEIR PASSIONS ESPECIALLY AS THEY RELATE TO THE POSITIVE VALUES REFLECTED IN THE WORLD OF HARRY POTTER. IN THIS REGARD, APPLICANTS MUST HAVE DEMONSTRATED THEIR ABILITIES AND PASSIONS BY APPLYING THE VALUES SET FORTH IN HARRY POTTER TO POSITIVELY CHANGING THE WORLD AROUND THEM.

PROVIDING US WITH INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR POSITIVE CONTRIBUTIONS TO YOUR COMMUNITY, UNIVERSITY, SCHOOL, AND PARTICIPATION IN ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS MODEL UN, YOUTH LEADERSHIP IN RECOGNIZED ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE KNOWN FOR AND DEMONSTRATE INCLUSIVENESS AND EMPATHY FOR OTHERS, EFFECTUATING POSITIVE CHANGE IS VITAL.

WE ALSO CONSIDER AN APPLICANT'S PROFILE, ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND INTERESTS  AS THEY RELATE TO LITERACY CONCEPTS, HUMANITIES, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING FIELDS, THE ARTS, AND PHYSICAL ENGAGEMENT IN SPORTS OR OTHER RELATED FIELD OF MOVEMENT SUCH AS DANCE.

GRADES WHILE CONSIDERED ARE LESS IMPORTANT THAN THE OVERALL DIVERSE BACKGROUND OF AN APPLICANT AND THEIR FOCUS AND DRIVE IN AREAS WHICH DEMONSTRATE  QUALITIES SUCH AS EMPATHY, CRITICAL AND DESIGN THINKING, AND PROBLEM SOLVING.
